Kindergarten
Help your child get a great start to his or her academic career by enrolling them in Good Shepherd’s top-notch K5 Program. We use the nationally acclaimed A Beka Book curriculum. With an emphasis on using phonics to teach reading, all of our Kindergarten students learn the foundations of reading during their Kindergarten year.
Numbers and math concepts, penmanship, science and social studies, Bible, poetry and fine arts are all taught from a Christian perspective. We also teach your child with a view to helping him or her become an independent learner, giving your student the edge he or she needs to succeed in life.
IOWA Assessments
Beginning in Kindergarten, our students take the IOWA Assessment standardized tests. This test is taken by both public and private schools across the country as a means to test student academics knowledge. As a group our students usually test a year ahead of their peers.
Kindergarten Graduation
At the end of the year, we hold a special graduation ceremony for our Kindergarten class to showcase all they have learned during the school year. Parents, grandparents, and friends will not want to miss this wonderful time.
