Consistent Care That Parents Can Count On!

Good Shepherd strives to provide an environment where children can continually learn and grow while feeling safe and loved. We want our students to walk in every day, excited to see their teachers and to find out what their day holds. We also want parents to feel confident that their child can feel secure every day. Recently, Leigh and Chad Gathers shared about their experience with our staff over the course of the last four years. They appreciate the consistency of the care that their family has received as their children have grown.

Leigh and Chad have three beautiful children, Noah, Wren, and Harley. As each child has started with us, and grown through our program, they have been surrounded by a number of different teachers as they have moved from class to class. The Gathers shared how they have felt safe and loved in each classroom. Noah is currently in the Advanced Class, working on learning to read among other things, and preparing for Kindergarten. Wren is in the Beginner Class, focusing on her letters and numbers. Harley is in the Nursery, developing a healthy foundation and engaging with her teachers. Leigh and Chad can leave them with their teachers every day, knowing that our staff cares for Noah, Wren, and Harley “like their own kids.” This is our goal as we seek to serve working parents.

Leigh and Chad also shared about the atmosphere at Good Shepherd. As Chad drops the kids off every day, he encounters smiles in a friendly atmosphere. He is hearing lessons in progress and songs being sung, and is able to see his children greet their friends. It is a blessing to these parents to be able to take their children to a place that they are excited to go every day! Seeing their children develop relationships with their friends over the years also contributes to the feeling that their children are safe and loved.

In our 32 year history, Good Shepherd has cared for the children of many working families, often those that have multiple children in our facilities over the course of a number of years. We are thankful for the relationships that develop with parents like Leigh and Chad. And we are thankful that they and their children become so secure and comfortable with our staff as we seek to provide consistent care that they can count on.
